About DevLab

DevLab is a free collection of 56 developer tools across 10 categories — regex testers, JSON formatters, CSS generators, color converters, encoders, and more. Every tool runs entirely in your browser using client-side JavaScript. No account needed, no data stored on servers, no tracking — your input never leaves your device.

26 tools are fully interactive and working today. The remaining tools are in development, with guides available explaining what they do and how they work. DevLab also includes 39+ learning guides and 15 technology comparisons to help developers understand the concepts behind the tools.

Why DevLab exists

Most online developer tool sites are cluttered with ads, require signups, or quietly send your data to their servers. DevLab takes the opposite approach: every tool is client-side only, permanently free, and designed to load fast with zero distractions. We built DevLab because developers deserve tools that respect their time and privacy.

How it works

All processing happens in your browser using modern JavaScript and Web APIs. When you paste JSON to format, test a regex pattern, or convert a color code, the computation runs locally on your device. There is no backend server processing your input. This makes DevLab safe to use with API keys, tokens, private code snippets, or any sensitive data.

DevLab is built and maintained by Bikram Nath, a developer based in Pune, India. Every tool is hand-crafted with attention to developer ergonomics — keyboard shortcuts, real-time processing, clean output, and mobile-friendly layouts.
